The shadow report aims at representing the true situation of woman’s human rights in Nigeria. It is intended to be used as an advocacy tool in engaging the Nigerian government over its responsibility for the protection and the promotion of women’s rights in Nigeria.
This report analyses the situation of women’s right versus each article of CEDAW as well as other critical issues relevant to women’s rights not falling directly under the Convention’s provisions.
